The phylogenetic tree was inferred using the Maximum Likelihood method based on the General Time Reversible model for the 28S rRNA gene. The tree with the highest log likelihood of − 4388.92 is shown. A discrete Gamma distribution (5 categories, + G, parameter = 0.4143) modeled the evolutionary rate differences, with 28.83% of sites being evolutionarily invariable (+ I).
