The phylogenetic tree was inferred using the Maximum Likelihood method based on the General Time Reversible model for the COX1 gene. The tree with the highest log likelihood of − 3346.80 is presented. A discrete Gamma distribution (5 categories, + G, parameter = 0.3714) modeled the evolutionary rate differences, with 32.77% of sites being evolutionarily invariable (+ I).
